Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you download or use the Schedora application.

1. Summary

Schedora is designed as a local-first teacher planner.

Your schedules, classes, date changes, lesson plans, notes, and tasks are stored on your device. Schedora does not require an account and does not operate a cloud service for your planner content.

Subscription-related information is processed by Apple and RevenueCat so that Schedora can offer, verify, and restore Schedora Pro purchases.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Schedora stores the information you enter locally on your device, including:

  • School-year dates and setup status.
  • Schedule type and recurring schedule rules.
  • Schedule days, rotations, and weekday mappings.
  • Class names, times, rooms, and ordering.
  • Date-specific schedule changes and no-school days.
  • Changes or cancellations affecting individual class occurrences.
  • Lesson titles, notes, tasks, dates, and class associations.
  • Preferences such as appearance, week-start day, and time format.

This information is used to provide the planner's features and allow daily scheduling to work offline.

We do not receive or have access to this locally stored planner content unless you deliberately send it to us, such as when requesting support.

3. Evaluation Information

Schedora may store information relating to its full-access evaluation in the device Keychain, including:

  • Evaluation eligibility.
  • Evaluation start and expiration dates.
  • Reminder state.
  • Previously observed dates.
  • Time-zone information needed to apply the evaluation consistently.

This information is stored locally. Keychain information may remain after you reset planner data or uninstall and reinstall the app, depending on how iOS manages the Keychain.

4. Subscriptions and Purchase Information

Schedora uses RevenueCat to:

  • Display available subscription offerings.
  • Start and restore purchases.
  • Verify subscription status.
  • Determine whether Schedora Pro features are available.

Schedora does not create an account for this purpose. RevenueCat generates a random anonymous app-user identifier when the SDK is configured without a custom user ID.

RevenueCat may process subscription purchase history, App Store receipts, entitlement status, last-seen activity, and limited technical information such as device type, operating system, IP-derived information, and the anonymous identifier. Apple processes App Store payments, billing information, cancellations, and refunds.

We use this information only to operate subscriptions, prevent purchase fraud, provide access to paid functionality, and understand subscription performance. We do not use it for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

RevenueCat documents that its SDK collects purchase history for app functionality and subscription analytics. RevenueCat App Privacy guidance , RevenueCat Privacy Policy .

5. Information We Do Not Collect

Schedora does not:

  • Sell or rent your planner content.
  • Upload your schedules, lessons, notes, or preferences to a Schedora cloud account.
  • Use planner content for advertising.
  • Include third-party advertising.
  • Use an advertising identifier for cross-app tracking.
  • Include a general-purpose behavioral analytics or advertising SDK.
  • Request access to contacts, photos, precise location, health data, or student-information systems as part of its normal planner functionality.

Subscription purchase information may still be processed by Apple and RevenueCat as described above.

6. Exports and Sharing

When you select Export Personal Data, Schedora creates a readable JSON copy of your planner information on your device and presents the iOS share sheet.

The export is created only when you request it. Once you save or share the file, the destination you select receives a copy. That destination may have its own privacy and retention practices.

You are responsible for protecting and deleting exported files. A personal-data export is provided for readability and portability; it is not a restorable Schedora backup.

7. Support Communications

If you contact us, we may receive your email address, the contents of your message, app version information you provide, and any attachments you choose to send.

Please do not include student records, grades, health information, or sensitive lesson content unless it is strictly necessary to resolve your support request.

We use support communications only to respond to you, diagnose the reported issue, protect the app, and maintain appropriate business records.

8. Retention and Deletion

Planner information remains on your device until you edit it, reset the app's local data, or remove it through applicable device-management features.

Using Reset All Local Data removes the school year, schedule, recurring classes, date changes, class overrides, lessons, and saved preferences from Schedora after confirmation.

Resetting planner data:

  • Does not necessarily remove evaluation information stored in the iOS Keychain.
  • Does not cancel an active App Store subscription.
  • Does not delete purchase records maintained by Apple.
  • Does not automatically delete records processed by RevenueCat.

9. Security

Schedora relies on Apple's platform protections and local device storage. However, no storage system is completely secure.

You should protect your device with a passcode, keep iOS updated, and safeguard any exported planner files.

Important: Schedora is a planning tool, not a student information system. Do not store student records, grades, medical information, safeguarding information, or other sensitive personal data in lesson notes or tasks.

10. Children's Privacy

Schedora is designed for teachers and other adult educators. It is not directed to children, and Schedora does not knowingly collect children's personal information through an account or planner cloud service.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through a support communication, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

11. International Processing

Apple and RevenueCat may process subscription-related information in countries other than the country where you live. Their handling of that information is governed by their respective policies and applicable agreements.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Schedora's features, service providers, or data practices change.

When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
